Our goal is to provide early orthodontic intervention for children, so that treatment can remain as conservative as possible. Palatal expansion and growth modification can sometimes eliminate the need for braces later on, as it allows teeth to erupt properly into space on their own. This also helps eliminate the need for extractions associated with traditional types of orthodontic treatment. Dental extractions are often needed when orthodontics are put off until later, and can cause TMJ complications later on.
